Mountain Guide

-Canyoning: You’ll get tremendous pleasure from this leisure activity - a cocktail of waterfalls, slides, jumps and abseiling - kitted out in a wetsuit and a harness. You can start from the age of 8.

-Rock climbing: It’s about the pleasure you get from feeling your body move about in the vertical dimension and learning a rich repertoire of movement. Open to 7-year-olds and above.
The site at Notre-Dame du Pré (5 km from Montalbert) is a unique location in completely natural surroundings where old and young, beginners and experts can discover rock climbing in complete tune with the rock. 220 equipped routes from 3 au 7c, and from 10 to 40 metres high - welcome to the Glaisy rock! After all that hard work, nature has one of her finest of rewards for you – the outstanding view from the top! (ablutions and camping nearby)

-Via Ferrata: These routes fitted with cables and rungs enable you try out the sensation of rock climbing without taking the time to learn. Roped to your guide for safety, you can experience the thrill of confronting the void. For 12-year-olds and over.

- Hiking: For 25 years, MONTALBERT’s mountain professionals have been passing on their passion – hiking in the Vanoise National Park, in the Beaufortain, in Italy or even further afield. From a half-day to a tailor-made expedition of 2/3 days.

- Mountain Biking: Another way of exploring the mountains - on the right bikes, with the advice of your State qualified guide and with a little bit of will power and sweat, you’ll be able to climb the mountains and enjoy the intoxication of the descent through the cool of the forest, swoop down through the high altitude pastures and criss-cross the pathways (ski lifts can be used).

- Mountaineering:
Start off on the GLACIER HIKE, as easy as walking but fitted with crampons and a harness and roped to your guide for safety. Cross the crevasses and you’ll climb your first 3000m peak. Next, you set your sights on the prestigious peaks of Mont Pourri, the Grande Casse, the Grand Paradis and Mont-Blanc.

- Adventure Trail: We dare you to try a half-day of adventure on a truly original circuit - bridges, rope foot bridges, rope ladders, beams, nets or Tarzan’s creeper, the « surf » and the thrill of sliding down the Tyrolean slide. 2 to 3 hours of activity: 27€ for adults (over 1.40 m). Special children’s trail with the same stations suited to their height - 10€.
Advance booking essential.

- Heritage: Our heritage guide is inexhaustible on the history of Savoie and will help you explore our mountain culture, our Baroque churches, military fortifications, and rustic architecture.
