The Church of Sigismond
Situated at Champagny en Vanoise
Perched at the entrance to Champagny en Vanoise, the Church of Saint Sigismond, dates from the XVIIth century. The church was built on gypsum, a rather unstable rock, which is why it is reminiscent of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. The church’s leaning tendency can also be seen from the inside. Free tours of the church and the village’s lanes are organised by Christiane, who is really passionate about her village.
